HEDAI

The aim of this project is to generate a new model of hospital that brings about a radical change in the efficacy and sustainability of medical treatments based on a technological leap in the production and management of clinical information.

Nature of the project

The field for its development is focused on a monographic cancer treatment centre, the main goal is to generate an information management model related to the therapeutic decision that:

  • Extends the survival of patients with advanced cancer and promotes the financial sustainability of the health system that applies it.
  • After the model is generated, it will be shaped as a product that is applicable to other areas of healthcare.

The intermediate Innovation goals that will enable the achievement of the main goal are grouped in three technological levels:

  • Development of a new management platform for multi-dimensional clinical information as a tool that provides the ability to group all the data (the usual and that of innovative generation) and interrogate it about its relationship with the therapy results.
  • Research of new non-described relationships between the data integrated in the platform and the therapy efficacy in such a way that it can guide the therapy decision and increase the efficacy and efficiency of the results.
  • Innovation in products that enable the systematisation and exploration of new sources of clinical information in the following fields:
    • Radiology (molecular image, automated response assessment).
    • Molecular pathology of the cancer (new predictive molecular chip).
    • Automated processing of clinical texts.

The role of Repcon

    We lead:

  • The design of the Big Data module for the treatment of large volumes of information.
  • The development of a unified service platform that allows us to unify access.
  • The creation of supervised classifiers on semantic structures.
  • User Interface to access the information.

    We participate in:

  • Weighting of the evidence of summary "triplets" based on external sources.
